What is Sahulat Account in Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)?
Sahulat Account is an investment account in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). It was introduced for small investors who cannot provide proof of income i.e., Housewives, Students, etc. The Sahulat account opening process is quite simple and completely online. As mentioned earlier it doesn’t require proof of income, you need to provide your basic information to a PSX-registered broker.
The maximum amount to invest in the Sahulat account is 1 Million (10 lac) Pakistani rupees. The minimum amount to invest in Pakistan Stock Exchange is as low as 1000 rupees.
Points to note before Opening Sahulat Account in PSX
- Sahulat account can be made without any joint account holder.
- It can be converted to normal account at any time.
- The net purchase of the investment in stocks must not exceed 0.8 Million rupees.
- The investor can enjoy trading easily with regular market.
- The investor cannot trade with any type of leverage trading.
- The trading can be done completely online from the comfort of your home.
Required Documents for Opening Normal Account in PSX
Following are the required documents for opening your Sahulat Account
- Attested copies of CNIC of the board of the Client.
- Bank details with IBAN number.
- Cell Number (Must be in the name of Client / Authorized Person).
- Proof of address (Electricity Bill/ SSGC Bill / Telephone bill, etc).
- Proof of Income (Not required for Sahulat account).
- Scanned copy of the signature specimen for online account opening.
Please note that the minimum deposit amount for an account opening in the PSX is 5000/- PKR. We kindly request you provide a cheque for the initial deposit as we do not deal in cash.
